A video on my experience at the 2012 BBW sale

How are you doing? I had so much fun at the BBW sale the other day. I do have an advice to those going to the sale, please, please, please put back the books that you aren't going to buy at the designated tables. Even if its not the correct tables, just put them on a table. Please do not leave them on the floor or worse, near the toilets! Come on! There are other people who wants to read those books too! Be more considerate! To those that have practiced this, I thank you. To those that haven't, its not too late. You can do your civic duty to others. They have the same interest as you. Thank you for your help. :) Come and watch the video! I have a special guest in it! :)

An update on my life and the BBW books sale! Woo hoo!!! :D

I'm getting extremely excited as its just 2 days away (not counting today, of course) from the BBW books sale. I have a huge list of books that I'll be getting there. If you do see me there, come over and say HI, ok? Don't be shy. :) I'll be there this Friday bright and early. I'll be going there again a few more times after that. I'll update on all my social medias when I'll be there. Introduce yourself, ok? :) Here's a video I made sans my video camera (urgh! I'm still very angry that I'm deprived of it!). Let me know if you are going! :)

The Walking Dead!

Images courtesy of Google Inc.

Yes! I am a fan! A HUGE fan! I cannot get enough of it. I know its the most watched series in the world at the moment and I'm jumping on the band wagon because of that. Well, I'm taking my love for it to the next level. I'm going to start collecting the graphic novels next. I know its not the kind of literature that I'm quite used to but I want to venture out of my bubble. The book below is a compilation of 48 issues and it costs RM204 with some change in Kinokuniya. Its much cheaper than buying the individual volumes which values at RM51+. Based on Amazon's search, there are 7 books altogether. I might be saving up some money to buy these next and it will be a collection which I'll start next year.

Images courtesy of Google Inc.

I was telling my sister whilst we were in Kinokuniya how expensive it was. Then we had a debate on why I should spend RM200 on a book when I can easily download it online. That was her argument. Here's my argument. I want to support the author. As frankly as my sister has noted that the author was already laughing 10x more on the way to the bank. I know that but I still feel the need to lend my support by purchasing a copy of it. My second argument, nothing beats holding and reading a physical book. My third argument, I do not intend to wear Coke bottle glasses at my age. Hence, why I'm still contemplating getting an e-reader. Its not feasible if I buy the e-reader and still purchase a majority of my books from the BBW sale. Plus, have you seen the e-book prices?! Whoa! After doing the math, I might be paying more for an e-book. Yeah, you cannot argue with the space saving but it still costs too much. :( Anyway, back to the story. Who knows, with the introduction of this graphic novel into my life, it might open doors to more graphic novel series. Do you know that Cassandra Clare came out with a Manga novels for her Infernal Devices series? Whoa! I don't know yet whether I'll purchase it since its based on the books that I already have in my collection. However, whatever Cassandra Clare churns out has never failed me so far! :)

Do you have a favourite graphic novel or comic? Wolverine? Spiderman? Archie comics? Tell me what's yours! :)

Writer's block

Should I call it Blogger's block? I'm currently suffering from this "disease". Its been far too long since I've made any posts here.

Images courtesy of Google Inc.

Any time I have an idea on what to type, I would stop myself. Stating to myself, "That's not interesting enough to read". I'll keep having this debate with myself and like the below image, I kept thinking I have to blog a post! Not turning into a zombie like the below image though. :)

Images courtesy of Google Inc.

As you all know, this blog of mine does not contain much beauty related posts except those videos that I've attached from my YouTube channel. Otherwise, its purely about my life. This is the way I vlog. Talking about vlogging. Vlogging is a phenomena now on YouTube. Almost everyone is doing it. I was intrigued and really want to get on the band wagon too. However, since vlogging starts in the morning right after you wake up (that's the point, its recording your entire day from start to finish), I don't think this type of videos are suitable for me. Mainly due to I don't wear my hijab in the house all the time. :) I wear it just when I want to go out or an outsider visits my house. Therefore, if I do this kind of videos, I would literally be hot at home. Hence, I would sometimes do a snippet of me doing some grocery shopping here and there. If I would do these videos one day, I would have to figure out how to do it best that would be a convenience for me. :) I have a relatively laid back life though. I'm more of a home body. So, I wonder if that would be an interesting content. Hmm... The other day, I was considering buying a small compact camera. Its easier to carry for an on the go vlog. However, my budget does not permit me to do so. Hmm.. :( Plus, the memory is too small. If you want to record in HD, it would take up too much memory. Camera woes. :( I'll have to make do with whatever I have for now. Oh well. You can't have everything. Just have to work with what you've got. :) I hope you're having a good start to the weekend! I'm staying in this weekend. Yeay! :)

Want to know me better. Here's a video on just that! :)

Selamat Hari Raya Aidiladha! :)

and have a good, long holiday! How are you spending your holidays? I'm spending mine with my in laws this time. In fact, I'm currently in my hubby's hometown at the time I'm typing out this post. I thank ALLAH for being in this country because foreigners envy us for having so many public holidays! Its so great to take a breather from work and just relax. Especially when the holiday is on Friday! :D

Images courtesy of Google Inc.

My hubby and I would usually go on our usual movie date whilst we're in his hometown. However, I was very disappointed that there's no good movies in the Fall season. All the good ones are during the Summer. I know that its their Summer holidays and their marketing strategy to churn out as many movies as possible during this season but come on, leave some for other seasons! :l I want to watch Ted but I know for sure that it will be brutally censored by our censorship board. Instead of a 2 hour movie, it will be just 1.5 hours after all the censoring. What's the point of watching?!

I'm currently reading 3 books at once! I know... It will be hard but I'm determined to go on with it. I started with the 2nd book, The Monstrumologist because my first book,

Images courtesy of Google Inc.

The White Queen is too slow. Its readable and quite good but the pace is just too slow. I need some action in my life! :D The Monstrumologist is a really good book! Lots of blood and gore plus some monsters, of course! :D

Images courtesy of Google Inc.

My third book is Gossip Girl. I've neither read the books nor watch the series. I thought it was too girly for me but I want to read and understand what the hype is about. Maybe one of these days, I will watch the series. I'm quite intrigued by it. I think its really similar to Pretty Little Liars but with less murder and more fashion! Hehehe...

Tell me what books are you reading now in the comments, ok? I hope you are having a good day so far. :)

This just in! :D

I'm ecstatic beyond belief now! I just saw Nigella's and Jamie's cookbooks for less than RM50!!! Argggghhhhh!!!! I must wait patiently for the sale. OMG! Its so hard to be patient! I've always wanted to collect their cookbooks ever since my sister bought me Nigella's cookbook! I will collect all of them. Mark my words! Mostly, I like Nigella. She's my domestic goddess. I know her "nothing surprises me" attitude is make believe but I like to think that's how she is in real life. :D

Images courtesy of Google Inc.

I wonder what's the first thing I would say to her if I get a chance to meet her one day?! Probably scream first and introduce myself later. Gosh, I hope she doesn't run away. Its normal to scream at your favourite celebrity when you first meet them, right?! :)

Playing The Sims 3 - Late Night

I'm The Sims biggest fan! I've been playing them ever since I was in college. I fell in love with the game when I watched TechTV which was once on Astro. I loved all the shows on that network. Too bad some other network bought it over. It went off air after that. To get my latest games fix, I would watch it on that network. So, The Sims won my heart and its the one game I would spend some hard earned money on. I've bought quite a few expansion packs and I have a quite a few more to go on my wishlist. :) For now, this game has kept me captivated. However, I can only play 1 Sim at a time! I've tried playing with 2 Sims. It was successful at first but in the end, I had a MASSIVE headache! That's just from a day's playing! :( There are too many goals and needs to achieve! Too little time!

Images courtesy of Google Inc.

Oh, there's vampires in this one too! ;)

Images courtesy of Google Inc.

If you've never played it before, check it out. I bought my expansion packs from The Software Boutique. I'm not being paid in any way to promote them. I want to buy original games for fear that the pirated ones will corrupt my beloved Macbook White. :) If its corrupted, to repair it will take a LOT of money. Hence, better be safe than sorry. The Software Boutique has many games and they have an online store too! Trust me, you wouldn't want to go to the store! Not because it looks seedy. Its just parking is a nightmare in SS2, PJ! I hate going to PJ! Anyway, from what I saw, all the expansion packs in The Sims official website was there! WHOA! Makes it easier for me to do a one shop shop! ;) Nope, I'm not going to say one stop shop. ;) EA Games has raised their prices a bit and they might increase it again next year. For the old expansion packs, it remains at the old price. Just the latest ones that gets a "boost"! Oh man! :l

That's all for my "geeky" post. What can I say... at my age, I'm still ecstatic with playing games! Especially The Sims!

Now, do me a favour, never under any circumstances, ask what my age is! ;)

I love going to the stationery store!

Is it weird that I love going to the stationery store? Do you like going there too? Someone out there please tell me you are the same as me. :) Lately, I've been loving going to Popular and craft stores. They have many neat things! Among them are this set of scissors that I really want! This set comes in 6-7 scissors that can cut in weird shapes e.g waves, lace and so on! It costs RM27! I still cannot bring myself to buy it but I think I might purchase the single pair of scissors which has the one pattern on it. I saw it for RM4 in Tesco! I haven't done craft in a while but after watching KinCommunity on YouTube, I feel very "crafty". ;) Hehehe... There are so many tools to make our craft projects easier. The last time I made any craft was in my secondary school! Arghhhh!!! Long time ago! However, I have a feeling that I'm going to purchase some craft books from the BBW sale. This will be the beginnings of a beautiful journey. :) There are so many neat finds in the stationery store that I had to hold myself back and ask, "Do I really need that? What do I need it for? and Will I just use it once?" :) I did see some colourful stickers that I really wanted! I know, right?! Stickers?! You've got to be kidding! Well, if you go to the stationery store and look at these, I guarantee you'll be asking those 3 questions yourself! :D Hehehe...

When I was in school and college, I used to spend an hour or so just looking at the products that the store carries. So many unimaginable products. Products in your head that you might think has never been invented, has been invented to make your art and crafts projects easier.

Most of the time, I would investigate what each item is and what their functions are. Then, the usual, "Oh, that's what this is for!" would escape my lips. Its nice just browsing the stationery store. If by chances, you see a stationery store at a mall, don't just walk on by. Stop and see what's in the store. They might have things for your next project to "beautify" your notebook or your desk! :) Have fun window shopping at the stationery store. Great change to just looking at cosmetic products. ;)

Blogging is hard work

HUGE respect goes out to bloggers all over the world! Its hard work. Usually I would hardly insert any photos taken by myself because its just too much work. However, all the bloggers out there are INCREDIBLE! It takes a huge amount of time to take pictures, type out your posts and getting the overall layout of your blog right. Sometimes, its even harder to think of a topic to type out. :) So, to all bloggers, GOOD JOB! :D

I will have a post tomorrow. Nothing beauty related, I think... ?! I could be wrong. ;) See you tomorrow! :D

Book reviews are a daunting task!

Its been awhile since I've done any book reviews. The last thorough ones was done when I was back in secondary school and that was for my language classes as well as English literature class. I still remember very vividly that I loathe reading Wuthering Heights written by Emily Brontë. The only reason why I hated the book so much was it makes me have a headache every time I read it due to the words that was used. I wasn't quite used to reading classic literature and this was my first attempt at reading one. Involuntary reading that is! :l I was only 13 and I didn't understand what was happening. On top of that, my teacher wanted us to write a summary of the book. Sometimes, when she wants to discuss the book in class on certain chapters, I would always asks my classmate on her assumptions. :) I was only 13! Can't blame me for that. However, now that I've read the plot of the book on Wikipedia, I'm quite interested to give it another go! :) I may just add this book into my Goodreads to-read section. ;) Wish me luck in posting a book review. I have to do some dissecting now! :)

I'm editing now

I'm currently editing. So tiring because its a 30 minutes and I'm trying to reduce to just 15 minutes. Hopefully I can. How's your day coming along? If I exceed 10pm whilst editing, I'm going to shut down my laptop and call it a day. I have a full day's event tomorrow. Urgh! So lazy to go but I have to! :P Anyway, I'll blog more tomorrow.

Oh, I went for a 45 minutes walk plus a 10 times push ups! Yeay! Good progress to a healthier me! :D

My favourite romantic movies

There's only one movie that will pop in my mind if anyone asks what my favourite movie is. Yes. Its You've Got Mail starring Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan. Its actually my all time favourite movie regardless of any genre! Why? This might sound silly but if you really watch the plot line, its about 2 people who has never met in their entire life becoming penpals and at the very end found out they have some similar interests. Swap the laptops with old fashioned letters (sent via snail mail, that is) and it becomes something along the lines of a Little Women book (loosely based). Am I right?

In this movie, New York has never been depicted more beautiful and its set during Autumn/ Winter. There's just something about these 2 seasons that makes any romance movies more romantic! I love how Tom Hanks slowly made Meg Ryan hate his alter ego without knowing that it was really him in the end. There's one part in that movie that always made me cry. You'll know which one. Here's a clue, Meg Ryan cried too in that scene. :)

The second one is The Wedding Planner. Its an oldie but a goodie. I love the control freak depicted in Jennifer Lopez's character. Matthew McConaughey was a really good looking doctor. He made me swoon and that southern drawl of his... Wow! Its a simple story. Man falls in love with another girl right before his wedding. Cute story. Very sweet. Makes your heart go pitter patter at the end of the movie.

The last one that I recently found at a Speedy Video shop is Serendipity. Fun facts about the movie, its named after a dessert place in New York by the same name.

It serves one of the most delicious desserts I've ever seen. Frozen hot chocolate! How good does that sound to you? The sinful image is below. ;)

Back to the story. The movie is about a superstitious girl who leaves everything in her life up to chances. Even the love of her life. She met a guy (John Cusack) by chance one fine day and they spent the entire day together. Learning more about each other. Then, she left their fate to chance. If they were meant to be, there will be signs to tell them. Hehehe... Its a crazy movie and sometimes you just felt like slapping Kate across the face shouting to her that John is the perfect guy for her! I love this movie very much and again the background is set during autumn/ winter.

The next one hasn't been aired on tv for a long time! I've been trying to get a hold of it, with no avail. :( This is a food based romantic movie. The main character inherits some magical powers and its translated into the food she makes. Sounds interesting, right? It is and its a wonderful romantic movie. If you haven't watch it, please do. It was not as popular to the ones that I've mentioned above but just as good.

Those are my favourite romantic movies of all time. What are yours? Leave me a comment, ok? :) Thank you for reading my post! :)

Tips & Tricks @ The Big Bad Wolf book sale 2012

Ok. I know its still a long way to go (it will be held from 7th to 23rd Dec 2012) but I want to share some of my tips and tricks of snagging the books! Hehehe.. Kiasu betul nih! :) Well, you do have to be "kiasu" because its not easy to find books of a limited quantity being sold for RM8 each! Well, the price varies from book to book but expect it to be 75-95% off per book! How can you miss out on this sale?! No.. no.. If you've missed out on it previously, you need to go this time around. This time it will be held at the Mines Convention Centre. Even if you are not an avid book lover, just go. You might find a book of your fancy there! Let me give you a few tips and tricks before, during and after the event.

Before:
  • Increase your stamina. You're going to walk around A LOT! Wear comfortable shoes! This is no time to be wearing those heels!
  • Practice standing for a long period of time
  • Buy a trolley or bring a suitcase with wheels! You will get tired carrying the boxes
  • Print out the list of books that you want to get
  • Print out the map of the venue. There is no time to get lost!
  • Add a dictionary to your list
During:
  • Be extremely early! There will be a long queue even if you are extremely early!
  • Be courteous to others. They have the same interest as you. You might make a new friend or two. Remember, they are book lovers too
  • Bring the trolleys or suitcases on wheels. Take the books that you want, dump them into the boxes and then take them to the storage area then browse around for your second batch
  • Find the books that's on your list first. You can browse for others later
  • If you see the book you like that's not on your list, grab it! You never know when you'll see it again
  • Once you have all your books, check your budget. If you've exceeded, its ok. Make sure you place the books back where you found it. Don't just leave them in the boxes on the side of the halls! Others might be looking for those books too!
  • Practice maturity in the halls. Don't give each other the evil eye. Remember to be courteous. We are all very educated people!
  • If you have children, keep them close to you
  • No drinking or eating in the halls. Who wants to buy a book that's smudged with food or drenched in water
  • If you see a person who grabbed the same book as you, give suggestions to them on others that you like. They may like it too.
  • Line up and don't cut queue! You are a well educated person. Don't practice your caveman syndrome here! Don't groan or moan on the amount of books that person in front of you has. If he/she buys a lot, it may not all be hers. She could be donating a majority of it
  • Be courteous to the cashier. He/ she is working hard to serve you. Make small conversations. You might pick up a tidbit or two about the event! Who knows, it might be beneficial for you
After:
  • Enjoy and cherish your hard earned effort. Wrap your books!
  • Tell me what you've bought!
  • Make a cup of your favourite drink, turn off the tv and lose yourself in the author's world!
  • You can thank me for the tips and tricks later. :)
Happy hunting, everyone! I'll make sure to take a few pictures when I'm there this year! :) Please share this post on your social medias. Thanks! :)

My video camera is damaged! :(

I'm so sad! It didn't get caught in the rain or anything terrible like that. It just decided to malfunction when I tried to playback or transfer some of the footage! Argh!!! Now, I need to go and send it off to the shop since its still under warranty to get it fix! It will take 3 weeks!!! I have 2 videos that I recorded yesterday! God! I hope it doesn't get deleted! :(

"Jalan-jalan" time! At The Curve, Damansara! :)

A few days back, I've decided to go to Borders at The Curve on Saturday (today) because I wanted to check out more books to add to my collection when I make my purchase at the BBW sale this year. Have you seen my HUGE book haul from last year? Its BIG! I loved every single book! Its worth a trip there! :D Below are the book haul videos! :D

Main reason to go there was to browse around and add more books to my every growing list on Goodreads! I've found a few and I've also found books that I really, really, really need to get! I never thought that I would find it in Malaysia. These books are not something that I should pass up. So, I bought 3 books at Borders! Hehehe.. Borders is fast becoming one of my favourite book haunts! It has a variety of young adult and fiction books! I found The Walking Dead graphic novels too! If I have an additional amount of cash next year, I will buy each one in the series. It costs at least RM30 each. There's quite a few to collect! So, in due time, my darlings. :) I want to try reading graphic novels. Its nice to see the story translated into comics or illustrations! You will admire both the author's writing and the beautiful illustrations. It is expensive but I think its worth it. My uncles used to collect Spiderman, Superman, Thor, Asterix and Obelix (below) and so on.

Images courtesy of Google Inc.

My mom used to collect Archie comics and from time to time I still purchase it now. I used to read Archie comics when I was small. My first step to understanding and conversing in English was through Archie comics. :) I think my favourite male character was Jughead. He's the one on the left in the image below.

Images courtesy of Google Inc.

Favourite female character was the notorious boyfriend stealer, Cheryl! Pictured below in the centre. I like her not for the boyfriend stealing part but because she oozes confidence and she's not afraid to take risks. :)

Images courtesy of Google Inc.

I will show you the haul I made in my next few posts. I've recorded a video on that.

Other than Borders, we had lunch in Marche and walk around the street bazaar where my sister bought me a pair of gorgeous sunglasses! Thanks, Jan! :) Then, we went home. So tired of walking around.

Question of the day: What was your favourite comic growing up? :)

Its the weekend!!! Well... almost... ;)

Its a lovely Friday. Not too hot. The weather is just nice. Hopefully it will remain this way in the afternoon and evening. Did your area get the strong winds yesterday? It was practically howling and chilly in my area! I had to wear a hoodie! Hehehe... I love it! :D

The past 2 days I was talking about IT gadgets. Today, I'm going to talk about beauty gadgets. Just one beauty gadget in particular. Its the Clarisonic. The one below is the original.

In Malaysia, the original Clarisonic costs RM800+ and the Mia below costs RM500+.
The Mia 2 costs RM600+. The brush heads costs RM90+ and I don't think they've brought it that many varieties of brush heads here.

The Clarisonic is available in Sephora Malaysia. As you can see from the prices that I've stated, these gadgets are really pricey! However, I've heard so many wonderful things about this gadgets and how it has improved the skin appearance of some of its users. I've been meaning to get one but to buy just one item at this price still doesn't justify it. I really, really want one though. I'm still wondering why its so expensive when it reaches our shores. Its still being shipped by the same distributor which is Sephora. Hmm... Anyway, my main reason to get this gadget is to reduce my acne and wrinkles. I don't have that many wrinkles but I do have my fair share of acne. I'm hoping this would help lighten the appearance of scars, reduce the production of oil on my face and reduces the emergence of acne. Plus, smooths away my skin, of course. ;) I'm hoping to get the same results as per happy owners of the Clarisonic.

Here's to hoping I get a huge bonus or some sort of money increment or compensation next year or a very generous benefactor will help me out on this. *hint hint, Mr. Happy Feet! ;)

Do you want to get the Clarisonic too? Leave it in the comment section below. :) Talk to you tomorrow! :)

I'm a gadget freak!

Ok... I don't think that you'll be surprised by the subject above after reading my previous post. Check it out below if you haven't! :) Today, Apple has announced the new iPhone 5 which I think will grace our shores at the end of the year. I'm not keen on getting an iPhone simply because of the battery life. I've never bought an iPhone for this reason. I'll use my phone for one purpose only which is to communicate. For me, that means, making calls, receiving calls, sending or receiving SMS (text messages) and maybe the occasional photo snap here and there. So, I don't use too much of the functions in an iPhone because I have an iPod touch that works the same way as an iPhone. I would surf, listen to music, read and send emails, watch YouTube, play Tiny Tower (tee hee... :D), etc on it. Hence, I don't drain the battery of my phone. Now, if the battery is always draining, I'll just simply buy a new battery rather than change to a new phone! I like to use my phone until its beyond repair. :) I've had the same phone for the last almost 3 or 4 years now. I can't even remember when I bought it! That's how long its been! :D I don't need to change to a new phone whenever a new model comes out.

With that being said, I'm going to contradict myself now. Just for the iPod touch. Now, this morning, I was moaning, why didn't Apple release a new iPod touch. Its been so long.

Lo and behold, the new iPod touch 5 is OUT!!! ARGGHHHHH!!!!! I love the iPod touch very much and new one looks amazing! Plus, its available in a multitude of colours! Arghhh!!!!!! There's blue, black, white, coral and yellow (which is such an odd colour!). OMG!!! This I need to get!!! Amazing features! Read all about the features here. Here's how it looks like. Its longer. Similar length to the iPhone 5. Going to give a similar one for hubby too so that he doesn't feel left out. Plus, his old iPod touch's battery is draining from so much usage! Yes, we are an avid iPod touch user! I like the coral colour! The white makes me swoon a little bit but I think the blue coloured one will win, for sure! I have to save money! Saving up for the 64GB. However, even with the 32GB that I have, I don't even use half of the memory! Hmm... this I have to contemplate when the time comes. It'll set me back almost RM1600 for the 64GB! Now, this is worth every ringgit to me compared to the iPad. Mainly because its small which makes it easier to bring around. It can fit into your pocket! I have a laptop. Hence, why I still cannot find the need to buy an iPad. However, the Kindle is a necessity! Hehehe... No internet surfing with the Kindle. Just for reading books. Ok2. Now, I have to do the math. If I save about RM200/month, I would then be able to purchase 2 of it in Jan, 2014. Eeekkk... still a long time to go! Its ok. Its teaching me to be patient. Good things comes to those who waits! No, I'm not going to purchase it using the ZERO interest monthly payment scheme. I have too many loans on my hands and I don't intend to create more. Must be patient. Mind must be at peace. Avoid thinking about it for a year.

So, that's all the gadgets I'll be getting this year or next year or 2014. I do have some big plans for 2013. Hence, I really need to make sure that I don't spend every single cent that I earn. :)

So, what gadget do you intend to get next year? :)

To Kindle or not to Kindle

Yes... I'm going bananas thinking about getting an e-reader for my obsession. Reading, of course. Its getting way out of hand now because I'm bringing books wherever I go. To the bank, to restaurants, on a short trip to the shop down the street, etc. Its getting a bit bulky to place in my handbag. Plus, its going to ruin the shape of my handbag. I already have a huge bag of emergency stuff in the handbag and now this?! My poor handbag. Hence, why I'm considering of buying an e-reader. Its slim, its small, its light and you can store up to 3000 books in it! How cool is that?!

There's a problem. Sigh.. There always is, isn't it? I'm going on a huge project to save up enough money to buy more books than I would have ever imagined at the end of this year at the BBW (Big Bad Wolf) book sale. Have a look at my Goodreads profile here. Follow me there if you like. :) I have a huge amount of books that I would like to get this time and this might be the end of the book hauling. Since I'll be buying a lot of books at year end, its apparent enough that I'll only be buying the Kindle maybe early next year or middle of next year so that I can finish all the books that I bought before I start buying them on my e-reader. So, its still a long wait before I get my hands on one.

There's another problem. Which Kindle do I get? I love the old Kindle 3 with the keyboard. Mainly because it has a white coloured one. Then, I like the Kindle Fire HD too and I'm a bit obsessed with the Kindle Paperwhite. These 2 are the latest models from Amazon. There's also another option of an e-reader which is from iRiver and the one that I like is the iRiver Story HD which you can now purchase from MPH bookstore and its in white too! Have a look at the options below. Tell me if you have an e-reader and what's the brand, ok?

This one is available in white!

Now, this one is similar to an iPad which I dislike. The drawback is it uses a backlight to read which can give a strain to your eyes!

This is the iRiver story HD which is available in MPH bookstores. Its white! :) Not a popular brand. So, I'm a bit reluctant to get this one.

Now, this is the apple of my eye. The only drawback is that its black in colour.

I might be getting an e-reader soon enough. Just got off the phone with a very good and an extremely generous benefactor. Thank you very much, Mr. Benefactor! I'll love and enjoy it very much! :D

Assalammualaikum and hello...

Assalammualaikum and hi! :D

Welcome to my new followers. :) Thank you for following me here. I appreciate your support very much. :) Are you subscribed to my YouTube channel too? Please do, ok? :) I honestly wanted to blog more the past few weeks. However, traveling and celebrating Eid got in the way. I had a great time during Eid. Now, I'm suffering a bit due to a nasty cough, fever and flu that I've been having. At the time I'm typing this, my hubby is down with the above too. Hehehe... Sharing is caring, right? Hehehe... ;) I ate way too much during Eid that I think I need to slim down a lot now. :P

I did make a few videos and right now I don't remember which videos I have embedded here on my blog. Excuse me for a sec... I'm back. Ok, I need to embed quite a few of my videos here. I will attach them now. There's also an update video from me. What videos you can expect from me in the future and so on and what not. :) I have more things to share with you. Probably in my next post. Stay tuned. :)

Lots to do tomorrow!

There wasn't much that has happened today. Work as normal. Being amongst your colleagues and sharing knowledge is a good thing. Sometimes, in our daily life we forget to communicate verbally with those surrounds us. Especially in this day and age. We are so engrossed with the world at our fingertips or which is just a click away that we forget to say, "Hi!" to those around us. Yes. These are the side effects of the Internet. I think it has wrapped us in a cocoon that our world narrows down to a desk and a laptop. Conclusion is walk around. Meet new people (physically). Take a deep breath of fresh air. Look at the beautiful view around you and appreciate every minute that you have on earth. Do good deeds. Its never a wasted effort. I hope you're able to take back a few things from this post. Good night and sleep tight. :)

New videos posted last weekend

Totally forgot to add these videos in my blog. I would normally post a video a week but since I have extra footage, I've decided to add that one in too! Enjoy watching it! :)

The Dark Night Rises woes

I really hate Christian Bale. He makes the Bruce Wayne's character too arrogant. Plus, I think that the recent Batman movies are too "real". No longer the comic hero but similar to a real life vigilante. However, to satisfy my husband's cravings, certain sacrifices has to be made. :( I'm going to have to bear with it. We're going to check out the showtimes later. Oh, we can get tickets at a special price since its Wednesday! Yeay! :D I do have some errands to run today. Lots of running around! I have to read up on some books later. Not novels but some work related books.

How's your Wednesday coming along?

Hungry! :(

I should have eaten more for sahur instead of just cereal! Hmm... I'm going to buy some bananas later to eat for sahur tomorrow. Thing is, I can't eat too much during sahur and then regret later on in the day that I don't. However, I did drink lots of water this morning! Cold water! Yummy!

Today, I'm going to a hardware store after work as I have some mini projects I'm working on for work. Then, we'll be breaking our fast at one of the malls. I don't know whether I should have rice or not. My stomach wants it but it'll make me lethargic for prayers after that. We'll see what's good. Hopefully it's not rice. Rice might win this battle though! I can almost literally TASTE it! Hahaha.... :D

What??!!!!

I've accidentally deleted today's post! I have no idea where to retrieve it! Arghhh!!! I was going to edit the font in it but accidentally click on delete instead of edit. OMG!!! Ok... Keep calm... Take a deep breath.

In my deleted post, I mentioned that due to the overindulgence yesterday. No.. actually it was a weekend of overindulgence! Bad girl! So, this week, its back to our normal routine and my cereals for sahur. No more laced fat foods. Keep it minimal and to all my muslim friends, please, please, please make sure to get your daily intake of 8 glasses of water! I'm suffering because I only had sodas yesterday! Argh! My throat is so parched. Now, I know how those kids in Africa feel. Pity them so much! :(

I did mentioned in that post that I've recorded some videos last weekend and one of the looks seems quite similar to what I did before. So, I'm not sure if i should upload it or not.. Hmm...

Overindulgence during Ramadhan is bad!

Gluttony is bad after a day of fasting! I'm going to tell you what I ate yesterday for break fast or Iftar since I forgot to blog about it! Oooppsss... Sorry. :) ok. I decided to have nasi ayam for Iftar from TCRS. So, I bought it and then suddenly the pesky Carl's Junior advertisement was right in front of me. Oh boy! To satisfy my gluttony, we bought Carl's Junior for sahur. It's been awhile since I last ate Carl's Junior and didn't realize how expensive it could be!!! 2 set meals for RM43!!! Yikes! I acted cool but felt my eyebrows in my hairline! :l I cannot complain about it. Like I said pure gluttony!

Anyway, my major reason for going out yesterday was in search of my baju raya and I've found it!!! Yeay! It's a dusty pink dress. I'll show in one of my videos after Raya. I want to buy another one since I think one of my baju which is tailor made is messed up! Bummer! :(

Video sharing 2

May I share one more video during this holy month of Ramadhan? This is such a beautiful video that I've cried over and over again watching it. Come watch. :)

Editing videos day!

Nowadays, the only time I have to edit videos is during the weekends. Sometimes, I wish that with the effort I make in editing and recording the videos, I get paid from YouTube for it. This will help me in so may ways!!! One of it is I'm thinking of getting another laptop and a better editing software. In the mean time, until YouTube Malaysia starts its partnership program, I just have to be contented and grateful with what I have. So far, my laptop is doing fantastic. ALHAMDULILLAH. No meltdowns. I rarely use the laptop for other things besides surfing the net, watching YouTube, watching the occasional DVDs when I'm out of town and editing my videos. Thats' it. Nothing major. I just need a bigger memory and a faster (speed wise) laptop. No idea what the correct IT terms are. Hehehe... How is your weekend coming along? Mine has been good so far. There would be a bonus video that I will post today to YouTube! In the mean time, have you watch the tag I did? It was a fun one. It gives you an insight of behinds the scenes of a beauty YouTuber. :)

Video sharing 1

Here is the video that I promise to share yesterday. I forgot all about it. Its funny but there is a message at the end of it. Have fun watching it. :)

Books has taken over my life!

Hahaha... Really! Sometimes, reading a good book can change your mood instantly! It would whisk you away to a different land and keeps you raptured in its adventures. I can't tell you how much I love that this has happened to me. My handbag cannot say the same though. Its probably complaining of the weight when I add my book into it! Hahaha.. It keeps me entertained wherever I am. Currently, I'm reading "Catching Fire". The 2nd in The Hunger Games series. So far so good. I'm still in the early pages of the book. The first book was wonderful! It was so good that I took every opportunity available to read this book. It was that good! You have to try reading The Hunger Games. I didn't like the movie as much. The movie was ok. Meh.. Nothing to shout about. The book, I can go to the top of the Petronas Twin Towers with a HUGE bullhorn and shout out how great it was! :D If there is one book that you can read this year due to time restrictions, it would be The Hunger Games! Tell me what you are reading, ok? Oh, follow me on goodreads.com to know what books that I'm keen on reading and the books that I've rated! :) Click the link below! :)

What a way to start BEIA!

Argh! Work has been so hectic lately! Past 2 days I've strived through with work and only now I'm free! Ay Caramba! I cannot complain! I should be more thankful with what I have instead of complaining about what I want. There are people out there who would love to have what I have. So, count your blessings every day! I'll share with you a video tomorrow that would make you think twice about complaining. :)

As suggested by one of my subscribers, I need to make a cooking video. I should! Argh! I should have made one at my dad's last weekend! Hmm... Maybe a quick "cooking" video would suffice for now. Full blown one would be after Raya. Now, need to think of a set up. Sigh.. The life of a beauty YouTuber. Hahaha... :D

Requested tutorial: Neon colours!!! :D

This was a requested tutorial by one of my YouTube subscribers. This was a fun look. Not my everyday kind of look. This would be defined as stepping out of my comfort zone look! Hehehe... It was a fun experiment. It took me a while to "design" the look but I had lots of fun creating it! :D
